time is running out i guess. thursday is the first paper alr. 1 of the most impt in fact. gp. kinda going to let it take its natural course i guess. nothing much i can do now for it.

hmmm i spent sat night listening to the live broadcast of global chinese music awards (gcma/全球华语歌曲排行榜). after listening to who won what, i feel the awards seem a bit biased leh. so many awards for individual singers, so little for groups or bands. its no wonder stephanie or andy lau won the most awards lar. but with due respect, its difficult to win so many awards even if there are many. i guess i'll blog on My Language abt the specifics. but yar. seems very biased. at least 五月天 won most popular band! yay! =) hope they release a new album soon. =D oh yar heard tank will be releasing a new album by december i think. shall look forward to it. =) i guess 五月天 and tank's albums will be the last 2 albums i'll get this yr. darn poor now. haha.

eh. i guess tts it. oh in case ur wondering what my title means, its an anagram actually. haha. =P

hmmm guess theres lots of stuff to update cos it has been an uncharacteristically eventful wk for me. taking a break a while frm studying to unload all my memories here.

lets see. what did i do for the weekend?? cant seem to rmb. LOL =) i rmb something bad occurred to affect me for a while but now its totally gone in my mind. hmmmmm. ah whatever. i bought 吴克群's new album on tues! 将军令！ ok la. i kinda like his personality. the songs he writes has a special feel and style to them. funny songs like 大舌头 and 周星星 with love ballads like 不屑纪念 and 我有罪 shows off the variety of songs he is able to write. and his voice is quite nice too! a bit man but well nice overall. =) yupz as for his new album, i shant say too much lar. at first i listened to it at hmv i felt it kinda sucked compared to his older 2 albums. but i kept faith and bought it home to repeatedly whack the cd on my player. then i started to like certain tracks. of which i'll say at a later date bah. when i have the time. like after a lvls? haha =) i'll give 3.5/5 stars for now. oh yes i'll upgrade 周杰伦's 依然范特西 to 5/5 stars! really like every single track on the album after listening to the album for like 70 plus times? LOL

okiez. yesterday took a day off by going to vivocity to check things out. haha actually i thought vivocity was jus a cineplex, becos it was quite hyped up in the papers. proved me wrong. haha. oh ya went with liu xiao. he's the one who dragged me there. haha. hmmmmm. we reached there at abt 2 pm. then we realised the 320 and 410 timeslots of death note was sold out. -.-" i have to admit i was surprised at the size of the crowd, considering tt its a thursday afternoon. at first we bought tix for the 610 show for death note, which premiered yesterday. its DAMN NICE ok? must watch. haha i shall talk abt it later. hmmm most of the shops in vivocity are open liao. and the range of shops there is really staggering. almost like walking down orchard road jus tt its all in one building. bebe, swarovski, mango, pull and bear, g2000, u2, samuel and kelvin, u name it, they have it. a nice place to go prom shopping i guess. haha =) but absent is the mainstay macs and kfc and other fast food restaurants. could only find carls jr. bk and long john silvers couldnt be found altho they say there is such outlets. of course i wasnt shopping but lx was. looking for some gift for his jr's bday and some clothes for himself. walked on for ages and ages. 4 hrs available for him to walk ok? im like a dog following his owner yesterday (ok bad analogy). after abt 2.5 hrs of walking we ended up eating at the food court upstairs at food republic. the concept of the food court is quite nice la. lx bought some lousy beef noodle while i went for a big meal. hmmmm. after tt we checked out action city and lx settled on a pig soft toy and a penguin fan for his jr. he oso went over to a shop to get his 9th pair of jeans (can u believe it? i only have one. -.-""" rich arse) he ever had. after walking a bit we went to check out death note.

death note is based on a popular (ok but i nv heard of it until now =S) comic. basically is a god of death leaving a death note on earth, which is picked up by the son of a police chief. he hates criminals and decided to eliminate every single criminal there is. cos this death note, if anyone's name is written in it, the person dies. but of course u need to noe the guy's face. there are many instructions in the death note, but i have no time to say it all. but the thing is, the story is abt a this guy versus a police genius bent on tracking him down. but this movie is only the first of a few movies. so expect more. the next movie is this yr december. hmmm kinda like this movie. u wan go and watch! but of course, a lvls are around the corner...... soo....... gd luck to myself.

shall end with a death note for myself....

cause of death: on 19th october, decides to go vivocity to catch death note at gv vivocity so as to check out the cinema. lx (death god) drags him to vivocity to shop. after wasting 4 hrs of aimless walking time, he watches death note and dies 1 month later at the 24th of november, after his physics s paper. paying for his sins of wasting time on 19th october. may his soul rest in peace.

PS oh. gv vivocity in fact is VERY large. but the cinema we visited was small in comparison to other normal theatre. the seats are ok, leg room not tt great but a bit more than usual. yup. next time u can try the gold class theatre, which has lobbies and a personal concierge i think. haha. but expect to splash big bucks on this exp.

i realise tt im using chinese more and more often. haha. nt tt i need it for a lvls but well, sometimes chinese expresses myself more aptly. perhaps its partly due to me recently listening to 933 fm like everyday? haha =)

hmmm was looking thru jiahui and peifen's (yes 933 fm djs) blogs. nothing much special i guess. jus tt was reminded of the recent stomach flu cases (jiahui was down for 3 days due to tt, missed her voice on 弦歌寄意 for those 3 days. but i was wondering whats up with this "epidemic"... hmmm seems weird tt ppl get it without eating any "infected" food. hmmm. terrorist attack? maybe nt. but it seems scary tt all those down with stomach flu are frm schs in the ANG MO KIO region. thankfully i didnt get anything. phew. guess i'll add their blog urls for fun bah. haha.

wow. i forgot what i wanted to write. -.-" ah the haze. bloody haze. cant train now leh. haiz. the last time i tried running in the haze ended in disaster. went home with a throat so full of dust and smoke i can be a living volcano if i vomit. indonesia gambate! persecute those ppl lar.

eh think i forgot all my misgivings frm the weekend le. shall nt talk abt it. =)

Review:
well i kinda got my limited edition box set by chance cos my cousin was visiting frm us after a few years and she wanted to buy something for me. tt day i was jus talking to my mom abt how ex yan zi's box set is, then she overheard it and decided to buy it for me. =) haha abit weird but well, lucky nonetheless.

ok basically the standard ed i felt had songs tt are more recognisable to most ppl. mainly hits and all. but the limited ed was quite lavish, with a 100 page photo album called "our memory", a 6 frame strip of film from her 我不难过 MV, a lyrics sheet, 4 CDs containing 60 songs (61 if u include Our Memory) and a bonus DVD abt her work life these 6 years. basically for true fans of yan zi. as for the 60 songs, i realised it contained lesser known songs tt may nt be popular to most ppl. so i guess, well, it may seem a total waste of $ for those who duno yan zi well enuf.

as for new songs, there are 2 (or 3) new songs - 雨天 & 梦想天空. 雨天 is VERY NICE!!! haha like the feel of the song and the music. damn nice. as for 梦想天空... well nt very nice. give it a miss if u want. As for "Our Memory", it is a medley of yanzi's popular songs. the exact order is 绿光，开始懂了，我不难过，风筝，雨天，我也很想他，天黑黑，我要的幸福，懂事(i think)，完美的一天 and finally 遇见. its jus a medley of choruses frm these songs, with 遇见 being played at the last chorus to provide an emotional end to this song.

Hmmm ive not watched the bonus dvd so i cant comment on it. as for the photo album, its jus a whole series of photos of 燕姿 at work, play and simply living life. plenty of photos off camera in between MV shoots. great for those who jus want every piece of her. haha =)

Overall: 4.5/5 for standard ed. 4/5 for limited ed (becos too much ingredients spoils the broth, if u noe what i mean). buy the standard ed if u are poor and prefer her more popular songs. the limited ed is for yanzi fanatics like paul and maybe cr. =D overall, a gd compilation for those who love yanzi, who love her songs, or those who have been living in chinese music wilderness all these years (like me. lol. since sec sch ive always thought tt jay chou is the only singer worth listening to. until i opened my eyes last yr).

PS for those who are wondering what happened to my standard ed album, it went to hh as a bday present. LOL =)

PPS To Paul: happy now? now i have every right to play 孙燕姿's songs whenever i want LEGALLY. haha =D

all the prelim papers are back. and the marks dun look pretty. but an improvement nonetheless. altho im left to rue the missed opportunities. could have gotten better if i had not made so many careless mistakes. =(

yupz of course mh, cr and jg owned the papers AS USUAL. straight As i think excluding gp. yup. but i think i should continue working hard to make up for the difference! erm 4As and 2 merits are my targets for A lvls. but of course if distinctions come for s papers then i'll gladly take em. haha. talking abt s papers, the prelim s papers were a bit surprising. maths seemed too ez. i may even go to say tt i may have done better for maths s than maths. =S then there is physics, which i totally screwed up. happy if i even can pass.

well wateva man. prelims are over. time for the last lap. (cliche but true)
