after having lost something that might have ruined my entire life, i realise sometimes, carelessness is not tolerated. no matter how many times i curse the guy who took it and gave me such panic, no matter tt i had it back in time, the blame has to come frm me. for nt taking care of it properly, for putting too much trust in someone i dunno, for taking my time b4 coming to collect it. haiz.

anyway, special thanks to the FSMs who saved my life.

the coc parade last wk was a success in my opinion. we shook off the majority of the problems we had and produced the best we could muster. even KS somehow managed to hentak kaki properly on the actual parade. lol =) whoops.

hmmm at home today due duty. totally unexpected actually. was supposed to go for the army half marathon (which was conveniently disguised under the name ADG run for our squadron) but the COS conveniently left out my name in the nominal roll and put in someone who was supposed to be on duty. thus i took his place. hahaha.

which reminds me of the CPT who collapsed during the half marathon. scary isnt it. being so fit and all still doesnt guarantee u being able to overcome a 1/2 marathon without danger. hmmmm. life's unpredictable i guess. one day u're here and next, u're gone. haiz. very sad leh.

a long wk passed with another in prospect. sianz. last wk's range was crap. i shot a dismal 13/28. FAIL. =S nv imagined range would be this tough. zzzz. day shoot was snap targets tt could pop up randomly frm either of 2 lanes or both at the same time. then night shoot cannot align the rifle properly. zzzz. marksman my arse. =(

had 2 driving lessons this wkend. yest and today. haha i admit im very sucky at driving. the first lesson was kinda smooth due to lack of stalling but the 2nd lesson had quite a few stalls as the instructor told me change gears a lot and very frequently. at least i learned more today than yesterday. i also realised tt ive been very slack with regards to studying for FTT. a lot of qns couldnt ans. haha. better mug! =)

the coming wk is full of parade practice. haiz. long wk again.

grrrrr had a crappy start of the day. shall describe this absurd scenario.

yesterday night had to bk in thx to some parade today. and im supposed to be on DUTY OFF TODAY. so ok. suck thumb and bk in. then THEY SAY PARADE CANCELLED AND REPLACED BY SOME STUPID PLEDGE TAKING CEREMONY. which took a gd 5 MINS TO FINISH THE NEXT DAY. then bk out.

this month's highlights seems to be duty, IMT and range. and some coc parade. next mon's off burnt due to it. SIANZ. but hope range is fun.

1st time on our own. without seniors guidance and teaching the way to "save the effort" LOL =) nt too bad actually. i would safely say tt we are ready for duty, except for a small component which we havent covered yet. haha but i think i'll like to talk abt the regulars tt spoil the fun of duty (in a way).

Officer Y is one of the 2 identified by me so far to be such ppl. somehow he seems to emit an aura tt causes me to try to show tt im doing work and nt slacking. the reason is becos, if u dont, you'll soon have something coming ur way. and he seems to have a fetish for area cleaning. hes the only officer (so far) tt gives lengthy briefings abt something as trivial as area cleaning. as he self proclaims, its his "favourite time of the day" =S

Specialist X is the other one. he follows the bk strictly to the pt tt i feel very frustrated sometimes. my god. we had 3 hrs of aircraft recognition lessons on the 2nd nite of duty thx to him. and subsequently had to do area cleaning under his hawk like supervision. then after tt was tools cleaning. but sometimes tools cleaning seems thoroughly absurd to me. do tools get so dirty within 1 day tt it has to be cleaned everyday?? zzzz

well other than tt we had fun cooking our own food for dinner as sometimes, SFI food SUCKS. then some of the others ordered macs for dinner. but for a person on thrift mode these few weeks, such luxuries are a no-no. then each nite there was an opportunity to charge up the hill for practice. which is the most shacked thing of the night. other than tt, life was routine and comfortable.

which reminds me tt i spent my 19th bday on site. 1st i'll like to thank these ppl:

1)yunwei for the sms altho i totally forgot abt ur own bday which i vaguely rmb was on 31st jul. happy (very) belated bday then! hope u had a "fluffy day" (koped this term frm u haha) on 31st jul and 2nd aug. haha. =D

2)jg and mh for your smses too. woke me frm my slp tho. haha.

3)my teammates on site who didnt try anything funny.

4)ppl who knew my bday but didnt wish me anything. i thank you all cos im guilty for tt most of the time =S

5)and last but nt the least ppl who totally dunno or forgot but are close friends of mine. ur friendship is very much treasured. =)

i seem to have gotten hooked to 2 new anime these few days, esp 1 of them. they are D Gray Man and Claymore. both have similar themes of exorcism but with different concepts involved. highly interesting. but sometimes disturbing as some of the drawings look rather satanic and explicit. but D Gray Man is more light hearted and funny while Claymore is pure serious stuff. so i kinda like D Gray Man more. hmmm.
